According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, the international standard "Contactless Delivery Requirements for Cold Chain Logistics" (ISO 31511:2024), jointly formulated by China and many countries, was officially released recently.

 

This standard specifies the requirements that cold chain logistics service providers should meet when delivering goods from distribution centers to consignees through contactless delivery, including requirements for service providers, facilities, and equipment involved in contactless delivery of cold chain logistics, operating procedures, and abnormal situation handling requirements.

 

This international standard involves the field of intelligent logistics in the scope of strategic emerging industries. The successful release of this standard will provide technical guidance for contactless delivery services of global cold chain logistics, help ensure the health and safety of delivered items during transportation, provide a safer environment for global cold chain logistics users, delivered items and staff, promote the multi-faceted improvement of cold chain logistics standardization, and enable the high-quality development of the cold chain logistics industry with standards.

 

In recent years, the rapid development of e-commerce, especially the fresh food e-commerce market, has led to a continuous increase in market demand for cold chain logistics. While paying attention to food preservation, people also pay more attention to a safe and hygienic lifestyle. Contactless cold chain logistics services are conducive to reducing and avoiding direct contact between logistics personnel, logistics personnel and users, and goods, and reducing the health risks caused by the gathering of people and contact between people.

 

To this end, my country took the lead in proposing an international standard proposal in the field of contactless distribution of cold chain logistics in the International Organization for Standardization Cold Chain Logistics Technical Committee (ISO/TC 315) and worked with experts from Japan, France, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and other countries to gather practical experience from cold chain logistics companies, logistics associations, scientific research institutes and universities around the world. The international standard was developed and successfully released.
