Shuangxing Board Industry learned from the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) that the group standard of "Cold Storage Low Carbon Evaluation Index" was released in late October and implemented on November 1.

 

According to reports, the group standard of "Cold Storage Low Carbon Evaluation Index" focuses on the carbon reduction nodes of the entire cold storage life cycle, and proposes key evaluation indicators for cold storage carbon reduction from aspects such as construction and design, refrigeration and control, resources and conservation, etc., encourages the use of renewable energy and natural cold sources, and improves the operational efficiency of cold storage through digital means. The standard will be officially implemented on November 1, 2024.

 

Experts said that with the rapid development of my country's economy, cold storage, as an important facility for food preservation, has received increasing attention for energy consumption and carbon emissions during its construction and operation. The release and implementation of this standard can provide reference and basis for guiding cold storage to achieve low-carbon operation, help promote the transformation and upgrading of cold chain logistics towards green, environmental protection and low-carbon, and help the green and healthy development of cold chain logistics.
